A place to pool people and resources to create the 1st "Empty Bowls Project" in Northeast Minneapolis. Our goal is to gather 500 ceramic vessels, 60 gallons of soup for our December 14th, 2013 event at Eastside Neighborhood Services. Follow our progress here, and on facebook as well, here

Welcome.
All hairbrained ideas have to begin somewhere, and ours began August 11th on 29th and Johnson at the Coffee Shop Northeast. What we may have lacked in teeming masses was more than made up for in energetic dialogue and constructive suggestions. We shuttlecocked possible venues, fiscal agency, "empty jardiniere" thoughts, letting kids glaze greenware pots, and much more. I was surprised to hear from Mike Ziomko, founder of the Powderhorn Empty Bowls Project, that we might even be more ahead of the game than they were seven years ago at their inception (and if so, only thanks in great part to Mike's generous help). Now we welcome your ideas, wisdom, and hopes here. No contribution is too far-fetched, or too small. T.W.
